Time flies when everyone is happy
The other day I received an email from my client, Dana Takacs of TheMVPService/TOWB. She and her husband Joe were flying home to Florida from Captain’s Cove Resort in Galveston Island, TX. “I love it there,” she said. “It could be my favorite.” Quite the praise — since TheMVPService, LLC has a long history in the resort timesharing industry ranging from in-house sales, to consulting, to refurbishing and repurposing when necessary. For decades, President Joe Takacs has been advising HOA Boards in legacy resort situations on best use practices for owners and their HOA.
Over a year ago, they completed the repurposing of 51 units in a condominium complex overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in Galveston Texas. Today they choose to vacation there themselves and enjoy the unobstructed views of the ocean from the huge balconies, generous grand rooms, beachside pool and more.
“We are particularly proud that one year after our renovation the unit sales price has continued to increase from an average of $260,000 to topping out at $400,000, “she said. “Returning to the scene after months of hard work and seeing it pay off on so many levels is a reward in and of itself.”
“Seeing a project that you put a lot of love into turn out to be so charming and well accepted is rewarding,” said Dana who takes a hands-on approach to the renovation and design of the individual condominiums. In June of 2007, Joe and Dana Takacs formed TheMVPService, LLC. The philosophy was to create a timeshare secondary market sales organization based on their expertise, and then work as a team with resort stakeholders focusing on honesty and ethics. TOWB followed in 2017 offering specific services on a broader scale for boards and HOA’s. Time proves all strategies, and a prim
