FARROW Commercial Construction Discovers Treasure in Trash
August 29, 2013 (SANTA ROSA, CA) – FARROW Commercial Construction, a nationwide commercial construction company based in Santa Rosa, CA has discovered there is treasure in trash.
Several years ago FARROW was invited to build a recycling / trash bin receptacle enclosure for world-renowned hospitality company Wyndham® Resorts & Hotels at its popular Windsor, California location. As a local contractor, FARROW was selected to perform the work due to the unavailability of Wyndham’s original contractor.
“We were happy to step in to build this much-needed enclosure quickly and cost -effectively, “explained John Farrow, President and CEO of FARROW Commercial Construction.
According to John Farrow, Wyndham was more than satisfied with the results and the price. “They were so impressed we were called on to assist with several other larger room renovation projects throughout the United States,” he said.
As a result, John Farrow now clearly instructs his business development team never to turn down business just because it seems “too small.” He often sites this story as an example of how one man’s trash can turn into another’s treasure trove.
Farrow continues “it seems inevitable that the small hospitality projects turned down by other contractors frequently turn into larger projects forming long-term client relationships. Because of the satisfaction with our attention to detail and customer service attitude, the work for Wyndham Worldwide mushroomed and has grown to include into a number of large scale projects with multiple year contracts.”
Even during the economic slowdown, when many contractors were struggling, FARROW enjoyed a steady stream of ongoing renovation work and repeat business with a strong core of loyal clientele. As the economy started to turn FARROW’s book of business has continued to grow exponentially and they have continued to increase their staff with new personnel.
Recent projects completed by the national hospitality construction company include the Hilton Fort Wayne, the Marriott Palm Beach Gardens, Vacation Internationale’s Villas at Santa Fe and Phase II of the Tapestry managed Park Plaza in Park City. The company just finished work on a HYATT HouseTM in San Diego, and is underway on the third phase of Starwood Vacation Ownership’s Desert Oasis project. It is also doing ongoing work for Los Abrigados, a Diamond Resort in Sedona, Arizona.
FARROW Commercial Construction has specialized teams in place for new and ground-up construction with core strengths in Green Building and Sustainability, ADA/Fire/Life Safety (NFPA), ADA Design Compliance/Construction/Updating, Permit and Plan Acquisitions, Design/Purchase & Procurement and DOSHA Certifications.
