Being an entrepreneur with a small business is not always easy. Instead of having one boss, I have many. Each client, no matter how big or small is equally important. They come and go. Sometimes my plate is so full that the “to do” list is ridiculous. There is so little time for strategy that it seems like all we can do is respond to requests.
However, this month has been slower, allowing us to dip our toes into fresh water. We have upped our game by attending a social media conference, webinars on podcasting (which may turn into a new passion) and read-up on the advantages of Instagram and LinkedIn. School has always energized me personally and now we can pass on all that new found knowledge to our clients.
PR has evolved since we first started offering public relations services to our clients. Press releases are always in demand and today their visibility can be ultra-enhanced through social media. Visual media has taken off and can be distributed on its own or embedded in press releases and article.
We’ve always taken the stance that B2B is still P2P. Businesses are made up of people who are hungry to be successful. Whether it’s old school communication or the latest thing, PR can still educate, engage and inform.
